Cambridgeshire-based artist Debbie Baxter studied at St. Albans School of Art. She grew up surrounded by nature and was inspired and nourished creatively by her mother, the respected Wild-Life artist, Daphne Baxter. Debbie studied under the internationally-renowned artist Daniel Samuels, master of Classics- inspired pieces, and laterly by artist Christiane Kubrick, widow of the film directore Stanely.

Debbie's inspiration and fascination with Nature and the early maternal creative influences have encouraged Debbie towards highly individualistic perspectives of her subject and can be seen inher highly stylised work.

"I continue to have a special interest in trees, and am constantly fascinated by their majesty of shape and design. I lived of eight years in Indonesia where colour is striking and vivid and it toaught me never to be affrais of the wide variety of hues naure has to offer" Debbie Baxter
